WILKINSON SPORTS - STIRLING SPORTS

We are pleased to announce that as from 1st July 2010 we will be trading as Stirling Sports Whangarei.

This has not been an easy decision for us as the Wilkinsons name was established in 1894 and is a very iconic name in Northland, but we see many benefits to belonging to the Stirling Franchise with the strength of over 40 stores nationwide and power of branding and advertising. 

We will still belong to the NZ Fishing and Shooting Pro Shops buying group for the fishing and shooting department.

ABOUT US:

Mark and Donna Newman have owned Stirling Sports Whangarei since October 06, they have significant experience in the sporting goods industry.

Mark has an extensive fishing background from ten years working for a sporting goods importer who distributed Shimano fishing tackle for NZ, as well as other products like Kookaburra cricket products to Miroku shotguns.  Donna also has wholesale and retail experience working with products like Speedo swim wear, Mitre netballs to name a few.   

We are excited about joining the Stirlings Franchise - but some things won't change!!........EXCELLENT PRODUCT RANGE, SAME GREAT SERVICE & LOCATION

At Stirling Sports Whangarei we are widely known for our extensive product selection and expert, warm & friendly service which is personalised with local knowledge.  Our specialist categories include team sport in winter and summer, racquet sports, home sport, a comprehensive range of footwear and apparel, watersports, home fitness, firearms sales and service and our One Stop Fishing Shop.  We offer an extensive repair service with rapid turnaround to compliment our sales and service.

The apparel department in particular is packed with exciting clothing and swimwear.  This includes some more exclusive lines of clothing.  One of these is Rohnish, a Swedish brand that designs cloths exclusively for women, other brands include Nike, Adidas, Puma & Russell Athletic.

We have an extensive range of swimwear catering from beach to pool, kids and adults in all shapes and sizes (up to size 22 for ladies).
